I Have Osteoporosis. My Teeth Have Been Shifting And Bother Me, But They Are Not Loose. Has Anyone Got Invisalign?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am considering Invisalign to fix my teeth, which are starting to crowd and overlap in front. I am concerned about whether this might fracture my teeth or jaw.

Has anyone has orthodontics? What was your experience?

I am not taking any medications for my osteoporosis. I tried strontium (supplement) for a very short period of time when I was first diagnosed two years ago.

Thank you, Deborah! I do have my DEXA from two years ago. And my dentist has taken x-rays. Your response is very encouraging! Thank you!

I’m on week 6 of Invisaline. Do you know your current DEXA? Or better yet, an MRI detailing your skeletal condition? My dentist knows of my osteoperosis/osteopenia. My doctors are aware of my detal treatment and took no acception to it. I’m not on medications either. Dentists are wary of patients on osteo drugs. Your dentist will evaluate whether Invisaline is suitable for your oral health. I thought since I’m not medication it would be a good time to get my teeth aligned in case I do have to resort to drug management. Blessings!
