What Does Pain Feel Like?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am going to an Osteopathic doctor this week and it is very difficult for me to explain the feeling of pain. I have been diagnosed over the last 2 years with Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease of the lumbar region. I cannot separate the symptoms from the pain. What does Osteoporosis pain feel like, is it burning, sharp stabs, is it constant? Any help or explanations of what you are experiencing would help me prior to my appointment. Thanks.

Hi LindaKoontz
I have degenerative disc disease and it causes me to have shooting pains in my thigh as well as numbness from pinched nerves. My back hurts too, but my leg(s) are worse. Walking and standing are difficult, as I have stenosis from overgrowth of bone on facet joints and central canal.
I only have osteopenia, so I am not sure about pain from that. I have arthritis in knees and hips too.
Hope you get some answers from osteopathic doctor.

Thank you all for your input about pain. I am having an MRI next week which hopefully will pinpoint my problem.
