Hi, I am 3 months into my first & last Prolia injection, the side are terrible. Night sweats, shivers during the day, pain in body has become worse than before the initial injection. One other side effect, it can cause your hair to fall out& you end up bald. In the first couple of weeks, every time I washed my hair, great clumps of hair came out, even more fell when towel drying it. The texture has changed, nothing like it was pre Prolia. Other side effects, poor balance, severe headaches, feeling of a continual runny nose, gums bleeding etc. It should be cease being an option for the Big O, side effects are so horrific on your body.
I too am very apprehensive about both Prolia & Reclast. Too many adverse reactions on both meds. Once the meds are in your body, there is no recourse to stop any side effects. I have refused both Prolia and Reclast at this point. Upped my calcium and D3 intake and added collagen to my daily regimen & try to walk more. Fingers crossed!
I don't know as this was the first bone scan. The Dr presumed with my age 74 and a compression fracture in my T7 that I have osteoporosis. I finally got him to get a bone scan.
We'll have not had this done so not sure what the numbers mean, and it was a phone conversation and I am going to get a copy of it.
Any way he said non osteoporosis nowaverage person my age was 16 and I was 14 which was good.
T1 -1.2
Spine -.2
Does any of that make sense?
