I have been on Prolia for 2 years and no longer have osteoporosis but classify as Osteopenia. I am asking my doctor next week if I can take a holiday. Very concerned about long term side affects and how little is known about long term use. (Very happy about results however!)

Yes, Dana, I have heard the same yet I've also heard some take total drug vacation and resume prolia sometime later. Makes me think nobody really knows for sure since prolia still relatively new. Somewhat disconcerting. Would like others who have taken Prolia holiday to comment!

I have been on Prolia since 2015 my scan from 2017 and my scan from 2020 show my density has went from -2.9 to -2.7 slow progress but showing improvement I know in 2015 my doctor said I was at -3.2

I know a lady that took reclast she said it seems to be doing good. She took Evista first & it did nothing for her!
