Members discussed concerns about managing severe osteoporosis alongside COVID-19 vaccination, with one member sharing reassurance from her endocrinologist that the vaccine was safe and recounting her success with Prolia injections preventing new spinal fractures. Several members shared positive medication experiences, including one whose lumbar spine improved from osteoporosis to osteopenia on Alendronic Acid with Calciferol and Vitamin D, and another who successfully recovered from a car accident involving spinal and sternum fractures despite having osteoporosis in both hips. A recurring theme was gratitude for supportive feedback, encouragement to consult specialists, and an uplifting sense of community connection that transcended geography and individual struggles.

@A MyOsteoTeam Member greetings from the warm humid subtropical Sunshine Coast Queensland and I am taking Aledronic Acid with Caliciferol and Vitamin D on Friday morning and the pharmacy didn’t have any in stock in Friday and have hunted the stock for me and they will have it on Monday afternoon. I will take the missed Friday dose then. I have Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis but the tablets have reversed the Lumbar spine to OsteoPinea

Hello Rosemary. I live outside of Boston, Ma. and have Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis. I received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination 2 weeks ago. My endocrinologist in Boston said that I should be vaccinated. Hopefully, you can see a good endocrinologist where you live. Four years of Prolia twice yearly injections with no new spinal fractures. I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you for all your feedback as I said I've been lucky with osteoarthritis and osteoporosis I did have a car accident a couple years ago and I fractured my spine and my sternum and I got stitches in my head but you're later I am back to doing everything that I did before. I think I was very lucky because both my hips are osteoporosis I lost you arthritis and so many so I was very lucky I appreciate all the feedback
