I took the weekly actenol a few years ago, and had flu like symptoms every week. Loads of bone pain. Stopped taking it after eight months. Last September started taking actenol again, but went to monthly. No bone pain, no flu like symptoms. The annoying symptoms I do have are chronic cough and runny nose, sometimes congestion. Apparently those are some side effects.

I took Actonel for 2 years and didn't have a problem. Actually went into Osteopenia but was tole that in another 2 years I would need to take something again and sure enough here i am again. I took
fosomax weekly for a couple of weeks but every single bone in my body hurt. Now I asked for the monthly Actonel again. Hopefully I will not have any side effects.
