Hello, Linda. I am also afraid of the side effects of the medications. I am 80 years old and the elderly don't tolerate medications well. I have been stewing over this for a few months now and still haven't decided what to do. I have increased the foods that I eat which contain calcium and take a calcium supplement of 500 mgs. daily along with 2000 mg. of vitamin D3.
I’m in the process of finding a medication for my osteoporosis, but they all have such serious side effects that I’m thinking of just forgetting them all .
Depending on the severity maybe nothing but Calcium and Vit D. That is all I take.
It’s all gone quiet for me, my calcium levels were normal, so I am now confused?
