Members shared mixed experiences with Prolia for osteoporosis, with one member reporting successful bone density improvement after two years of injections without side effects, while another experienced terrible side effects and switched to Forteo and then Actonel. Several members highlighted important considerations, including a dentist's warning about Prolia and Fosamax potentially affecting jawbone and limiting future dental work, concerns about medication side effects leading some to prefer calcium and vitamin D supplements, and one doctor's reluctance to prescribe pain medication due to fall risk. A recurring theme was the value of weight-bearing exercises like deadlifts, squats, farmer's walks, and planks, with members acknowledging that while these exercises help, staying motivated remains a personal challenge.

My doctor won't give me any pain medication because there is such a huge drug problem in our state. Also she thinks it might contribute to having me fall more.
