I have osteoporosis, and I am happy to say I have not had any broken bones! My bone density test show my 60 year old bones are like that of an 80+ year old women. However I am in pain every day, my knees, hips
,back and hands hurt the most. But my doctors say there is no pain with osteoporosis until you have a fracture or break. And X-rays have not shown much arthritis. How "much" do I need to have for them to explain the pain I have? Have any of you had pain without fracture or arthritis?

Thanks to Cyndihorstmanshot, Julie7, and Nellpd for all of the information regarding dental work with osteoporosis.
ME TOO!
I'm afraid of doing anything except walking and swimming for fear of hurting myself, but I get bored with these. My osteoporosis is mild in my spine and moderate in my hips. I've had two crush fractures. My back can be extremely painful. I've tried Pilates and yoga, but some of the excersises really hurt my upper back, so I end up not doing anything! I used to love cycling, but I've lost all my confidence and can't balance anymore as I'm so scared of falling off.
Try chair yoga.
I know that UV light is what is needed for Vitamin D and I also know the risks for skin cancer from it. At his point, I'm more concerned with my low levels of Vitamin D. Not only due to the osteoporosis but also the increased risk of Covid 19 due to the deficiency. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi, I use vitamin B-12 and a large dose of vitamin C along with D-12, I sure hope this helps--------Hugs Pat
