they have several lengthy articles on trabecular bone score (TBS) at Mayo Clinic website. One of them states at the end of the article:

at present TBS can only be used to assess bone quality and fracture risk at the spine, although future studies to better understand its clinical utility at the hip appear likely."

It is a new technology that shows bone quality and the DXA shows bone quantity. Not sure what other hospitals or clinics offer this and if it is worth having it done?

I spoke with my doctor and he said it only does the spine, but that because I also have degenerated osteoarthritis, I would not be a candidate for this test.
