Hi Brenda, I am due for my second infusion of Aclasta on Monday. I had multiple spinal fractures and was really sick a year ago that I would have taken anything. I had had one Prolia injection a month prior which did nothing. The Aclasta seems to be working. I can walk again independently and pain is controlled mainly with natural products. Best news came last week in research saying it looks like Aclasta is assisting in preventing bone cancer. After the first infusion I had flu like symptoms for a couple of days and wasn’t hungry but that was all. This suits me but we are all different. My anxiety is also being managed well and that helps with pain reduction. Good luck in your search for the right treatment 😊

Hi Brenda. I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis - quite bad in both wrists, and one hip is affected mildly. I took Fosamax for 12 weeks and had to stop as it caused bad pain in my chest. The pain has slowly eased off since I stopped the drug 3 weeks ago. I am worried about having to take more of these drugs, or what will happen to me if I don't. Kind regards Denise

I couldn’t take tablets of alendronic acid or any of that family by mouth.
I’ve had two annual infusions of Reclast/Aclasta/ Zolendronic acid. Side effects were to feel very shivery for the rest of that day. A few days afterwards I developed prickly heat rash, which all the doctors say is not connected, but a year later I still have it!
As my bone density has improved, next infusion is postponed for 18 months at least.
I also take lots of vitamins, supplements, exercise, hydrotherapy, Qi Gong exercises, good diet etc etc.
