What Can I Do To Help Recover From A Serious Fractured Femur Surgery That Involves The Hip?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had surgery last February for a fractured femur. The fracture was close to the hip and now one leg is shorter than the other and the limping is affecting the other hip. I still have quite a bit of pain and am not experiencing getting better.

I have insoles made for me by NHS orthotic makers, I have to have my left one built up on the side, because my ankle goes over on that side. I was referred to them by the hospital I visit every 3 months.

Find a good doctor that will "listen to you" and "do something" about your issues.

So sorry to hear that. Did they not recommend a lift to make your legs even? It would take the pressure off I would think. Do not know much about it. I have had ladies come in to buy shoes and take them to their orthopedic guy to get them reinforced with a lift.

I think you should be prescribed shoes that are built up on your shorter side to help prevent more problems. Hugs

If you do not straighten out your spine you will have more problems
