I took Prolia which is once every 6 months and stopped after first injection. The usual side effects. Biggest complaint is TMJ .

The doctors prescribed Fosamax, but I will not take this. Too many side effects for my comfort. The researchers need to come up with a really good treatment.
That type of drug was originally developed for manufacturing companies as a type of glue.
Not a good treatment for human use.
This is where I stand.
All my best.

The osteoporosis is only in my spine. My hips are in osteopenia. My doctor put me on the lowest dose of Fosamax for one year and then will do another scan. I am also doing weigh bearing exercise and power walking. If my density increases, she said she will take me off the drug. I have had no side effects from taking it.
