Dr. Wants Me To Do Reclast - Don’t Like What I Have Read. Looking For Comments. Anyone Doing Algae Cal? I Am So Confused

The more I read about different treatments the more confused I get. I have had several fractures and realize I need to do something- fosamax didn’t work for me. I certainly don’t want to end up in worse shape than I am already because of side effects of a treatment !!!!

I certainly will be praying for all you ladies. I don't know if this will be of any help to anyone but I stopped taking my vitamins a lot of them a few days ago and my nerves were so bad today I thought of going down to the emergency at the hospital it was so bad worse than ever and I began to think that all this started a few days ago when I stopped taking my vitamins and minerals and I took a lot of them and about a half an hour ago I feel fine and no problem and as good as new. I have had a lot of blood tests in the last while and that can deplete your body of a lot of vitamins and minerals and that helped me. Also my friend who is 77 years old her back was in terrible pain where she could not even get her dinner ready and she took some calcium and magnesium and her back is fine now. She has osteoarthritis and osteoporosis and a degenerative disc but is fine with the calcium and magnesium. Hope that helps someone

Well Ginger I don't know how bad your osteoporosis is but mine was terrible and I started eating 750 g of plain yogurt each day for six months and my bones got really strong according to my doctor. It is because it is a probiotic and kefir is also a probiotic and probiotics cause the bone marrow to strengthen and grow and also cause the bones to strengthen a lot. There are also other things you can take. Barley Green is one of the best but I am allergic to it and fish oil capsules and I take calcium and magnesium and put on 20% of my bone taking that. There is strontium and algaecalplus which is guaranteed to put on bone after six months.A lot of these can be bought through the internet

Thank you for your reply. i truly am at a crossroads as to what to do about my osteoporosis situation. I have researched all my options and read all the question and answers on the site. I am TOTALLY confused - do not like the side effects of all the drugs - quite scary. So what is one to do?

I am on algaecal and they have an amazing Facebook support group with experts that will help you with any challenges you have with taking their supplements. The people who do have issues are given advice on what to do. For some people it is because they are missing a certain vitamin or mineral to process the calcium properly. I am learning so much from the algaecal Facebook community on how our bodies work and what we need to keep our bones healthy.

Still undecided about algaecal, but very skeptical about Reclast. Have heard so many horror stories! Any comments would be appreciated
