I Am Currently Reading
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am currently reading "Resolving Osteoporosis: The Cure & Guide Book" by Dan Purser, M.D. Have any of you read this book? Do you know anything about Dan Purser? I was looking for some feedback from anyone who may have read the book or knows Dr. Purser.

Vitamins
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was told to take vit D 5000 a day for Osteopenia (borderline Osteoporosis). Is it good to take
calcium also? Should I go to my regular doctor of a specialist.

Suggestions.

Diagnosed With Osteoporosis
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed today. I haven’t stopped crying. I have been a very healthy person. I’m scared after reading about the side effects of all those medications. I wonder if there are people who have decided not to take any medication and treat it just with a good diet and exercise. Is that a good idea?
Thanks,

Has Anyone Done A Consultation With Susan Brown (Betterbones.com And Better Bones, Better Body Author)?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

After reading her book, I feel she has an incredible wealth of knowledge about how to help rebuild bone density with proper nutrition and exercise. On Betterbones.com, it shows you can consult with her ($325). It sounds like she will look at an individual's test results, review tests that have been done, discuss others that could be done, and provide insight and recommendations based on a person's unique situation. I am tempted to do this because I would like an expert's viewpoint on whether… read more

Pain And Osteoporosis
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have osteoporosis, and I am happy to say I have not had any broken bones! My bone density test show my 60 year old bones are like that of an 80+ year old women. However I am in pain every day, my knees, hips
,back and hands hurt the most. But my doctors say there is no pain with osteoporosis until you have a fracture or break. And X-rays have not shown much arthritis. How "much" do I need to have for them to explain the pain I have? Have any of you had pain without fracture or arthritis?
