Has Anyone Tried Algae Cal Plus The Stotnium?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor is pushing for me to go on Prolia and I'm resistant, hoping to try a more holistic approach.

I am taking AlgaeCal & Strontium & I have gone from severe osteoporosis to Osteopenia in 2 years. He people. At AlgaeCal are very helpful to provide exercises that are safe & nutrition information. They also have a Facebook community similar to this where people ask for answers & advice. They give scientific advice. Hope you find something to help. There is hope!

I took the information on AlgaeCal to my PA after she had recommended I take Prolia, Forteo, or Reclast. I ask her what she thought . She looked it up & was impressed with the clinical trials & thought it might be worth a try. I think she is really impressed now.

Hi Tatiana; I am so sorry that your scores did not improve and your osteo returned. I couldn’t take Strontium at first, but now I can take one at night; not sure about taking two in the future. Did you ask Dr Lara or the other AlgaeCal professional staff their thoughts about Strontium and heart palpitations? Dr Lara has written a pretty impressive book, Your Bones, but I haven’t looked at it yet. My endo Dr pushed and pushed me to take the Prolia shot, and I kept saying No. I have read a number of articles that after you stop the shots, your bones are weaker, and that is scary, too. I eat hemp, flaxseed, and sunflower seeds in my yogurt, cereal or whatever I throw them in. There have also been studies that prunes can strengthen our bones.

Sending you positive healthy thoughts.

I am taking Osteomins AM/PM formula created soecifically for osteoporosis. Has a mix of minerals and vitamins, not too expensive, can purchase on Amazon. I am also trying not to take fosomax, etc. My drs are not real happy about me going rogue☺️. I am watching my diet (alkaline), exercising and moderate weight lifting. “Save the Bones” by Vivian Goldsmith has a lot of good info.
