Hi kym.Welcme to my site. I think Osteoporosis has to do when our bones are porous &weaker.osteoarth is is a type of arthritis & inflammation. I think I'm correct. If anyone whats to add to this feel free.

Osteoarthritis comes from the wearing down of the cartilage in the joints where there are multiple pain sensors. Osteoporosis is the destruction of bones anyplace in the body, but more problematic in the hips and spine. Fractures can happen suddenly, without warning, and can be catastrophic.

I've also got ostiosrtheritus have had both knees replaced got diagnosed with ostipeperos about 6 weeks ago after I was told I had fractured my spine

Hi Michelle, a general way to differentiate between the two may be that the OA is primarily related to pain in the joints. That is only my view as a lay person.
