Members shared mixed experiences about weight gain while taking Forteo, with some reporting no change and others gaining anywhere from 2 to 19 pounds during treatment. Several members attributed their weight gain to reduced activity and mobility due to fractures or chronic conditions like IBS, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome rather than the medication itself. A recurring theme was the importance of staying as active as safely possible, watching carbohydrate intake, and making gradual changes to eating habits rather than drastic restrictions.

Yes its hard and i did gain some weight. I think it was because i was afraid to do anything as i was recovering from 5 compression fractures in my back. I been off from it for a few month and im losing some weight. Then again im more active too. At my age 66 weight is always an issue. So i try to keep.carbs down
Good luck and God bless

I've gained 19 pounds this year but it's due to my inability to exercise and I stopped watching what I ate. Now it's the holidays and so many temptations!
I've been watching what I eat though, and have lost 3 pounds this month. Slowly change your eating habits and you'll do better than stopping all at once.

I've gained weight since starting Forteo but it could also be due to being inactive due to fractures
