Do I Have Gout, Or Is It Osteoporosis?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Last week I had pain in my 4th toe, and thought I must have stubbed it, although there was no swelling or bruising.
By today the pain had migrated to my second toe, and going for my daily walk is out of the question.
Still no swelling or bruising, but the top joint is stiff.
Is it gout (arthritis) or osteoporosis?

anytime we have a physical problem, it helps to go to the WEBMD website and look these things up. Many other websites will give you "bad information". You need to stick with reputable websites. MayoClinic is another good one.

Yes, JaneAnn, it was that article that started me thinking! I had not heard of this before.

double click on web md website address below, then click on the blue arrows on the right to keep getting more information on gout. And call you doctor for an appointment very soon.

Ouch, that sounds really painful. I'm sorry your body has added another pain for you to deal with.

Perhaps you should get that checked out. I have osteoarthritis and it can certainly present like that. I've never had gout, but doesn't it cause swelling? It's good, but odd, that there's no bruising or swelling. Have you found anything that gives you relief, such as massage, heat or ice?

I'm sorry I'm no help, but I'll say a prayer and send a hug! 💚
