It is important to get all the minerals like birob, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese etc. K2 is vital for absorption.

If you take a plant based calcium, it will not clog the arteries. Most people take the crushed rock type which isn’t good.

My understanding is not to take more than 1200 mg n to take no more than 500 at a time. Body can’t absorb it. You can end w cliogged arteries or kidney stones. Also I believe that only applies to supplements. Calcium from food sources do not cause those problems.
