On Alendronate Until Bone Density On Hip Then DR Changed To Ibandronate Once A Month. Have Been On About 1 Yr. Not Feeling Well &
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have nausea balance issues. Body pain. Maybe Fibromyalgia but wondered if anyone else has had bad side effects from this medicine. I take 150mg once a month where Alendronate was once a week.

I quit fosamax because of the side effects. Now the doctors say I should take forteo, but I just can’t do it as it sounds like a miserable way to live. I’m looking into CBD, there are lots of positive comments about relieving pain, and possibly helping bones.

Thank you for answering. Not sure what to take. The only bones that hurt are my lower back & left hip. where I have the most pain is nerves & muscle. I have an appointment on Monday with a geriatic nurse practioner. Her doctor is not taking new patients at this time. Sounds like every other doctor you try to see without a referral.

My lower back hurts at time too. Just got my Dexa report and the worst is in my neck. It said that is where my highest risk of breaking a bone. When my hip acts up (as well as a knee) I have been putting a little of Deep Blue lotion on it. It helps with the ache and pain almost immediately. It is part of the Essential Oils but you can order it from Amazon. Maybe this would help with the nerves and muscle in your lower back. I do not use a lot of it - just a dab at a time. I have been on Prolia now for two years but have to go off as I need major dental work.

I was on Alendronate but only for 5 weeks as my jaw pain with each dose was very severe.
