Do other people feel pain sitting down anywhere for more than10_15 minutes and stiff when they get up?

I was diagnosed a year ago ( hips) and have NOT taken any medication. I went to the doctor today and of course she was not happy and gave me the push to take alendronate once a week. The side affects right on the package are alarming. Esophagus problems, bone pain, jaw bone problems, thigh bone fractures etc. When I asked her about these she said “they have to tell you all of these but they are rare”. Is there anyone who has taken this medication and NOT had any side affects???

I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis after presenting to Gp with mild upper back pain
Had Prolia injection two weeks ago and within 24 hours developed flu like symptoms and then lower back pain like I had a broken back. Age 72 been on Risedronate for past 6/7 years but spine hips pelvis scores on my Dexa scan have worsened. Any ideas about different medication?

Pain comes and goes. But always uncomfortable. Do not take prescribed co codemol. It makes me sick.
