I’ve had multiple prophylactic surgeries to prevent cancer (family history is strong).
I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis which my doctor considers “severe”, especially for my age (45).
She is recommending I begin Forteo/Tymlos, Prolia or Reclast in that order (she feels oral meds are second to injection/infusion due to absorption).

My doctor wants me to take Prolia injections. I have to have root canals completed and wait 3 months before I can start. I know someone who took Prolia and has lost teeth because of it. I'm concerned about that and other possible side effects.
Lots of pain in jaw and headaches
I was just diagnosed. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and my primary care doctor suggested I go to my rheumatologist. I spoke with my rheumatologist and will see him next week. I’m concerned that if he doesn’t specialize in working with people dealing with osteoporosis, I may miss out on the most effective treatments.
Has anyone stopped having prolia needle after only one?
Despite having dental clearance I had needle 4 mths after 2 teeth extractions. My bite still feels strange and gum on that side of mouth sensitive! I had dentist check again and said all ok with teeth. The remaining tooth I want to save is still a little loose.

My neck seems to be getting sorer and sorer and the inner noises it makes when I move my head worse and worse - crunch, crackle, crack and like someone walking on a stone pathway.
