I have chronic kidney disease. My last labs were done a couple of months ago. My eGFR can range from 25 to 40. My last eGFR from a couple of months ago was 40. When I went for my infusion yesterday, I expected them to draw current renal functions due to my chronic kidney disease but they just went off my numbers from a couple of months ago. My question is: do you receive new labs at the time of Relcast infusions?? i did not feel comfortable about this.
I have osteoporosis. I've had rib fractures and I'm on prednisone. I've read about the side effects of Reclast and honestly it scares me. If the positives don't way out the negatives I'm incline to try something else.
I had been on Prolia about 6 years. It wasn't helping much but at least I wasn't getting worse. Then because of a change in medical personnel at the center where I got it, there was a brief delay about 4 weeks or so) in getting my shot.
