HR Treatment
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I would like to know about osteo treatment. I have multiple thoracic and lumbar compression fractures which have been confirmed by the MRI. I have only been taking one Vit D tablet monthly and was wondering about the HR treatment. Have had to recently give up my 45 minute walks as well. Jenny NZ

I am curios as to why you only take vitamin D monthly. There are several treaments available depending on you general health status. You mentioned you had an MRI. Who ordered it? Are they managing your care? I would ask for a referral to a osteoporosis specialist. Some places it is an immunologist, others it is an orthopedist. There are several references listed on this site the look very informative. I would not just read the drug websites as they may be a bit biased. Not sure why you quit walking. It may help with femur strength as long as you are stable walking. GOOD LUCK

Which LG base calcium do you take? I'm looking into starting something like that instead of taking the other treatments. Thank you appreciate your help

I take Vitamin D, 5,000 IU daily per my practitioner. I also take Vitamin K2-MK7 with my algae-based calcium, which aids in the absorption of the calcium. I am also on a bioidentical hormone replacement. You might find a provider who is open to this approach. I chose not to do the typical HR because the estrogen is drawn from impregnated mare's urine.
