Should I Be Worried

Should I Be Worried

Lower back pain all the way into my foot . Sore calf and numb genital area with slight loss of urine . Gp sent me to a&e for emergency m.r.i . They said the dont do them as an emergency. Left the department in tears . Gp phoned again asking me to go back . I simply didn't have the energy . I'm 52 and I have severe osteoporosis and had many fractures . My last was my right clavicle in 5 places. 2 plates and 9 screws fitted

Be careful if you have thyroid trouble as two of my friends both had low thyroid and because of no treatment or pills they both died of a heart attack as that can happen with hypothyroidism if not treated.

You need a really good understanding and empathetic doctor. My first osteoporosis doctor did not want to hear anything about the supplements I am taking. He basically talked down to me. He didn’t test my magnesium and said he didn’t need to. I read a book by Carolyn Dean MD and ND. I think the title is the Magnesium Miracle. I have been taking her liquid magnesium and minerals for over a year plus I drink spring water that does not have fluoride in it which is bad for your thyroid. After taking the ReMag and Re Myte I no longer need to take thyroid which I have taken for years. I know Magnesium is helpful in a lot of functions in the body and very important to getting calcium into the bones.
Read Dr. Susan Brown on Line. She is a PhD whose whole focus is bones. I think we have to do a lot of research so as not to take questionable shots or pills for osteoporosis. I am going to a new doctor this week. She is young and a DO so hopefully she will be more receptive to helping me think this all out before I take any drugs. My last doctor prescribed Evinity which is a black box drug approved only for one year. I would like to go to a doctor who wasn’t being paid thousands of dollars to prescribe the drugs he does. Go to Dollars for Docs which is a Propublica report and you can find out how much money your doctor gets and fro whom. Your GP won’t get any so only look at surgeons and specialists. Best of luck together we will figure this out..
