What Do Others Do When They Want To Iron Clothes?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I find my back really aches after ironing even for half an hour. I am wondering what others might do to help ease the pain.

I have been doing a Pilates class twice a week on zoom. It’s a physiotherapist that takes the class and she is aware of my osteoporosis. I get so much relief from back pain now. It has really helped to strengthen my back muscles. I like you got a lot of pain from doing these household tasks. But it has really made a big difference to my pain . I hope this helps.

My back pain comes and go. It depends on how my knees feel. I just find I need to sit down for a bit. I know it takes longer to do things but it’s the only way to cope.

I just sit down for a rest and try not to do too much at a time. Do it in stages.

The Downy trick works for me, too! As to ironing, although i own an iron, I don't use it very often.

My suggestion would be to use a table top board and sit rather than stand? Is that possible for you?

My back also plays me up ,I was told about a support that braces the back ,as if you were stood to attention ,this posture does help a bit .😀
