You need a team of support people and you need to give this search a lot of your energy. We really are the pioneers of this disease, so it is hard finding the right team. It really wasn’t that many years ago that they started recognizing osteoporosis as a disease. You are not alone, we are here, but you need a good group of professionals to support you physically and emotionally.
Just never give up. We’ll get through this together.

I'm on Forteo. It's a shot once a day. It's helped. It's a 2 year treatment. Praying for you and many on this board.

My Tscore in my lower spine is -4.8 and my neck is -2.8. I am on pain management. I have an excellent female doctor whose mother has osteoporosis and she is so understanding. She has referred me to an endocrinologist and I really like him. Hope you will find a good team of professionals very soon. In the meantime we will pray for you and support you Kim. Hugs Marianne
