I tried Tymlos for about 5 weeks last summer. I hadn’t done much research, and agreed to it. Dr did thorough blood work and urinalysis. I gave myself a shot in my belly every night. When I woke up the next day after the first injection, I was so tired for the next 12 hours, I could barely get off the couch, even to eat. The endo Dr claimed he had never heard of this side affect from the Tymlos. This went on for 5 weeks, and I said enough. However, Everyone is different and reacts differently.
Research before agreeing.
Good Luck
I started with Forteo but stopped after over two weeks when my knee joints swell up so much pain that I could barely flex or bend them. Thereafter, my endo re-requested for Tymlos approval from my HMO and restarted it after 4 weeks. I only lasted 8 weeks and stopped due to daily heart palpitations/raising, nervousness, light headedness, tiredness, and severe skin rash that were not going away. Had a visit to the ER & urgent care during these period. Six months before this, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis after a DEXA scan prior to a spinal fusion surgery of my L3,4,5 due to herniation/DDD. My neurosurgeon did not go ahead the surgery as he said will be "risky". In the meantime, sans these bone density meds, I continue to take calcium supplements and high calcium nutrition. I manage my pain with OTC meds & Rx pain meds but I limit it. CBD oil vape helps with the pain but at the same time knocks me for a good 6 hrs. that I only take it if the pain is bothering my with my sleep.
Wish you all wellness and continue healing.
