I took it for two years. Had severe pain in my knees and nausea that I thought was stomach flu one week a month every month I took it. Even had to leave work sometimes. My bones did not improve. So I went off the Boniva, I have no more nausea and knee pain. I for one, am through with Boniva. I hope this helps.

Boniva helped me until I had to get another Rheumatologist and changed to Prolia.

I’m going to ask my doctor if I should be taking this to help strengthen my bones,I exercise but I need all the help I can get.

I was just dx with osteoporosis this year and just started taking Boniva once a month, 3 months ago. I haven't been back to the doctor since, so I don't know if it's helping. I have also experienced the nausea that Terrie mentioned, along with severe heartburn.
